Project Introduction
The Migration Innovation Northern Territory (MINT) program launched an Australian graduate application pathway in the 2022-23 financial year. StartNT is designed to attract Australian graduates with entrepreneurial plans to move to the Northern Territory and offers applications for a permanent residence visa.
The channel is open to the following two categories of graduate applicants
· Domestic applicants: graduates in Australia with a 485 visa (the 485 visa must be valid for at least 13 months)
· Foreign applicants: Australian graduates who have been away from Australia for more than 2 years
Domestic Australian Graduate Pathway application requirements
To apply for pre-approval, the state must meet:
· Sign the MINT Project placeholder agreement, or MINT project participation number
· You must first move to the Northern Territory for 1 year, and regularly conduct startup project tracking and business development training at the Darwin Innovation Centre. After 1 year, you can submit state sponsorship applications and visa applications
· At the start of StartNT, the 485 visa must be valid for at least 13 months
· Meet the basic requirements of the Australian Immigration Department for the corresponding type of visa
· Demonstrate sufficient financial strength to support their investments, start-up projects and living expenses
· Completed the on-site interview with MigrationNT
For nomination to be approved, it is necessary to:
· Invest in PIIF funds and complete anti-money laundering review
The principal applicant and the deputy applicant must have resided in the Northern Territory for at least 12 months
· Actively participated in StartNT for at least 12 months and was eventually recognized by relevant industry contacts in the Northern Territory and the Darwin Innovation Centre
· Commit to live in the Northern Territory for at least 3 years after the visa is granted
· Continue to meet the basic requirements of the Australian Immigration Department for the corresponding type of visa
