Designated investment
After the approval of the 188C visa, you need to maintain a designated investment of $5 million for four years
Residence requirement
The principal applicant has lived in Australia for a total of 160 days over 4 years, or the spouse has lived in Australia for a total of 720 days over 4 years
Hold specific investments
If the applicant is invited to apply for 188B before 1 July 2021, you have invested not less than $5 million in Australian State Government bonds at the time of approval. The designated investment must meet at least:
· If 188B is filed on or after 1 July 2015, it is 4 years or more
· If you apply for 188B before July 1, 2015, it will be 3 years and 11 months
(Your designated investments must always be held in your name or in your and your spouse's name)
If the applicant is invited to apply for 188B after 1 July 2021, at the time of approval, the Australian investment shall not be less than AUD 5 million in different investment projects according to the following proportion:
Venture capital funds and growth private equity funds of at least $1 million invest in start-ups and small private companies
· A managed fund of not less than $1.5 million invested in emerging companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange
· An eligible managed fund of not less than $2.5 million
