190 The State sponsored Skilled Migrant visa is a permanent residence visa designed to help address Australia's skills shortage. If you already have 60 points, you can add an additional 5 points to your EOI score by applying for a 190 State Guaranteed nomination to meet the eligibility criteria of 65 points. After obtaining a 190 visa, you need to live in the state sponsored by it for two years. In addition to meeting the basic requirements of the immigration Department, there are additional conditions that must be met by the state government, such as occupation list, IELTS score and work experience. Requirements may vary from state to state. This visa can be applied for within or outside Australia and if applied for within Australia, the applicant must hold A substantial visa or a Bridging Visa A, Bridging Visa B or Bridging Visa C. Visa 190 state sponsored immigration is currently the main immigration route of choice. In the 2023 quota, the major states and territories use up to 95%.
