143 The Contributive Parent Permanent Residence Visa is a parent immigrant visa category for Australian citizens, permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens sponsoring their parents to settle in Australia. The visa is a permanent residence visa with a short waiting period and requires a one-time payment of all contributions.

Application conditions
The child of the applicant must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen and have been lawfully resident in Australia for at least 2 years, although a shorter period may be considered in exceptional circumstances
· Meets the family balance test where more than half of the applicant's children live permanently in Australia, or where the applicant has more children living in Australia than in other countries, where the children involved in the family Balance test include: Children of both parents, including children of either parent from a previous marriage or common-law relationship, including stepchild relationships and adopted children, whether independent, non-independent, single, married, common-law relationship, divorced, whereabouts unknown or unverifiable
· The applicant must have a Centerlink qualified financial guarantor as a financial guarantor, which can be the applicant's children, other persons or other organizations, and up to 3 financial guarantors as joint guarantors: at least 18 years of age; You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen and meet the pre-tax income requirement for the last two financial years. Financial sponsors are required to provide financial support to applicants and affiliated applicants so that they do not have to rely on any form of government assistance for a period of 10 years
· The financial guarantor needs to prove that the annual income of the two financial years before and now the financial guarantee is presented: a person sponsoring a parent needs to meet the pretax income of $36,031 in each of the last two financial years; One person sponsoring two parents would cost $54,047; $72062 for a couple sponsoring four parents (both parties) (amount will change if there are minor children or other circumstances)
