Monash University was founded in 1958, is located in Melbourne, Australia, a large comprehensive research university, its name is named after the famous Australian engineer, military officer, public administrator Sir John Monash. Monash University is a member of Australia's top eight universities and the world's top 100 universities, and is currently ranked 55th in the QS World University Rankings 2021. Monash University's strong department is the department of pharmacy and pharmacology, ranked second in the world in the "QS World University Rankings 2020: Pharmacy and Pharmacology", second only to the University of Oxford, while the famous Harvard University is closely followed, ranking third in the world.

Monash University currently has eight campuses, six of which are located in the city of Melbourne, the main campus and administrative center is located in Clayton, southeast of the city of Melbourne, and a branch campus is located in Suzhou, China, Mumbai, India, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and a research center in Prato, Italy.

Monash University's Business school is ranked in the top 1% of the world and is the first of the eight Australian universities to have triple accreditation in international business areas: the International Association of Elite Business Schools (AACSB), the European Quality Development Accreditation System (EQUIS), and the British Association of Masters in Business Administration (AMBA).
